The SET4NPL project is working on improving the national charging station infrastructure to aid the EV sector in general. Four different charging stations will be made available to best accommodate the different vehicle requirements and needs of EV users: A ‘Slow Charger’ (7kW) which is suitable for home charging; a ‘Medium Charger’ (20kW or 22kW) which is suitable for longer charging stops; and a ‘Fast Charger’ (60kW and up to 120kW) which can charge an EV in about 30+ minutes (depending on battery size and State of Charge) and can be used to charge two vehicles at the same time .
SET4NPL is supporting the set-up of standards and regulations as well as the setup of public charging stations all over the country to improve conditions for electric mobility. Public charging stations will be accessible to all EV users. Whoever is interested in installing public chargers should take a look at the options which are offered for businesses under the SET4NPL framework.
Each EMB will come with an emergency charger provided by the EMB Supplier. If an emergency charger is not provided, the EMB Supplier will have to provide a slow charger purchased from the Supplier of Accessories. When purchasing an EMB (electric mini or microbus), public transport operators can optionally also purchase a shortlisted charging stations for the bid-winning price to charge their new vehicle at home or in the depot. For electric minibuses, a 7kW charger will be included in the support package but PTOs can also upgrade to a medium or fast charger. All SET4NPL-supported charging stations are available with charging guns fulfilling either the CCS2/Type 2 Standard or GB/T Standard.
