SET4NPL provides a Scrapping Subsidy for PTOs who scrap their old diesel bus and buy a new electric mini- or microbus under the project’s framework. Moreover, PTOs will have access to specific loan/hire-purchase schemes through SET4NPL’s partner banks and Partner Hire-Purchase Companies. The project will also provide a grant subsidy for new EMBs depending on the financing product, bus model, and number of seats. And there are even more benefits such as free, preinstalled Accessories in every EMB which upgrade the vehicle with digital connectiveness and optional features such as maintenance contract and EV chargers.
SET4NPL wants to promote vehicles with higher seating capacities and incentivizes the proper end-of-life disposal and replacement of old diesel buses. This is reflected in the structuring of the scrapping incentive.
