Apart from targeted support for public transport i.e., electric mini- and microbuses, SET4NPL also plans to improve conditions for electric road mobility in general. This includes the expansion of public charging infrastructure as well as enhanced connectivity through digitalization.
Over the course of the next years, SET4NPL will support the installation of multiple public fast charging stations which will be available to all EV users. All charging stations supported by the project will be connected to a digital platform through which everyone will be able to receive important real-time information and services. Via a mobile app, EV users can see where chargers are located, whether they are currently occupied, which charging standard and power is available, and much more. The app also allows for easy usability of connected charging stations including login, an overview of the charging process, and cashless payment.
The goal is to engage as many charging stations as possible into this network to create a digital ecosystem which makes EV charging easier and convenient for everyone
